For the Bride
We’re so glad you’re visiting our site to inquire about bridal alterations. We understand there are many decisions you are making at this time and we would love to share more of our process to see if we are the right fit for you! Taking care of our brides and ensuring all their wedding dress dreams come true is truly a special joy here at V’s.
Here are a few things to consider if you’d like to schedule an appointment:
Starting at $400
Our turnaround time for wedding gowns is three months.
Depending on the alterations, I am able to get your dress to you sooner than that, however there will be an added rush fee.
It’s best to call and schedule a consultation before we can give you an exact quote. Details such as: lace, bodice, beading, layers, hem construction, fabric, lining, interfacing, boning into seams, etc. are just a few of the many components taken into account for your quote.
After your first consult, we will send you a quote within the week (unless it is a ‘rush’ order). Please note that you are not obligated to commit to our services. However, if you would like to proceed with alterations, we will begin working on your gown and text you with dates to schedule your next fitting.
We recommend all brides call ahead and schedule an appointment.

First Fitting / Consult
You’ll want to bring your shoes, undergarments, and any other accessories you plan to wear with your gown.
The purpose of this fitting is to ensure your gown is the right size, height, and design (neckline, train, sleeves, etc.) and look closely at what areas need to be altered.
- I will begin looking at the places on your dress that need to be: taken in, let out, shortened, lengthened, etc. If anything sticks out to you please feel free to mention it and I will give it a closer look! Your input is very important as I want to ensure you feel confident and comfortable on your special day.
- Please mention during this fitting anything you’d like to add: lace, beading, bustle, bow, veil, etc.
- Within the week, you will receive a quote via text asking if you’d like us to proceed. Remember, you are not obligated to commit to our services (but we hope you do consider!)
Second Fitting
Yay! Work is being done. Plan on bringing along: undergarments, shoes, and accessories (veil, etc.)
In addition, we will start to make sure:
- all your concerns from the first fitting have been addressed
- you can move comfortably in your gown
- your dress stays in one place as you move
- there are no obvious wrinkling, bunching or pulling of material
During this fitting, we will begin constructing your bustle design
Third Fitting
This fitting we will look at all the details and make sure everything is laying properly and your gown has come to be all that you’d envision. Please note if there is alot of lace or beading involved, there could possibly be a fourth or fifth fitting.
May be best to bring along mom or a friend for this one, especially if there was bustling or a corset was done so we can walk through how they can help you with them on your big day.
